AMANDA EDMISTON: STORYTELLER AND WRITER.

Shortlisted for a 2012 British award for storytelling excellence, mother and former student of herbal medicine Amanda Edmiston researches, adapts, writes and retells stories from around the world which feature the real roles and uses plants play in all our lives.
Originally from Aberdeen Amanda grew up moving around Britain with her mother herself a successful storyteller and her father a toymaker and children's author, she came back up to Scotland 8 years ago and felt immediately at home in Glasgow, it's green spaces seemed to inspire her to start writing and storytelling herself.
2013 has seen Amanda write and present a story for Fred and the team on MacCauley and co, present an evening of grown up stories to the 'A list' of herbal medicine at Croydon hall for Herbfest, develop work for the Lavender Project at Woodend Barn in Banchory, for St Mungo's museum of religious life as part of Glasgow's Merchant city festival, Feast Ren a Rouken Glen and Glasgow Mela.
Amanda has written and told stories for The Scottish Ballet, Chelsea Physic Garden in London and The Edinburgh International Science festival amongst others and is currently working on ‘Living Voices’ a project taking storytelling, poetry and songs into care homes across Scotland with The Scottish Poetry library. She is also working on a storytelling night for grown ups with musician Louise Cairns 'Atropa Nights'.

Caroline has 10 years experience of delivering arts engagement projects working freelance for The Lighthouse Education Team, The Royal Commission for Ancient and Historic Monuments in Edinburgh, House for an Art Lover, Glasgow City Council and for North and South Lanarkshire Councils. Caroline is a multi-disciplinary artist, on leaving Art College Caroline was an invited for an interactive reidency with South Lanarkshire Council and the David Livingstone Centre , working with local groups toward a final event at the East Kilbride Arts Centre .

Cath Campbell is a Yorkshire woman living and working in Glasgow. A member of the NVPN (Natural Voice Practitioners Network) she likes to bring singers to song, whether they think of themselves as 'singers' or not! She currently offers Thula Mama singing groups with Mums and baby in Glasgow, learning and singing lullabies, simple 3 part harmonies and chants from around the World, and co-songleads for Still We Rise women's choir, offering a space for song to survivors of violence, friends, family and supporters, singing songs for, by and about women, celebrating our ability to survive and thrive. She also. She also offers a variety of singing workshops with different groups, ranging from songs of women's liberation to songs of environmental justice. Above all she loves singing for the sake of song, helping people to enjoy their voices in the community of others
